Loot from Hag: 5 vials, 3 empty, 2 yellowish with floating eyeballs (potions of clairvoyance).
Party disguises themselves and sets out to the Princess of Diamond town to break into the mansion and steal the Dress of Love.
They use the secret tunnel. They pass a guard on the other side but the disguises work.
They get to the mansion and see two guards stationed at the door, which is the only way in or out.
Louis puts one guard to sleep, Harloc paralyzes the other, and the party rushes the mansion in less than a minute, including finding a key and unlocking the door.
They drag the guards inside, tie them up and gag them, lock and bar the door.
They follow the foyer upstairs and find a corridor with a large rug. Helia overhears two pixies arguing amongst themselves
Cory bowls a bust down the corridor in an effort to trigger the rug, nothing happens.
Helia convinces one of the pixies to come out to talk and steps onto the rug, which immediately furls up and engulfs her.
The 2 pixies turn invisible and rush out, only to be simultaneously incinerated by a cone of fire.
The party slows whittles down the rug, trying not to hurt Helia in the process.
As they finish off the rug, they hear one of the guards thumping around loosening himself.
Louis and Harloc rush downstairs to find the guards destroying the door and running out to raise an alarm.
Someone exclaims:
Next time we’re just slitting throats, none of this tie them up business.
Helia and Cory run into the office and search the closet. They see twinkles of light but no dress. Cory riffles through the desk and finds a drawer with a false bottom, revealing a Moon Orb pulsing softly with light. They bring this orb to the closet, where light streams out of the orb and coalesces into a shiny dress.
Helia rapidly puts on this dress gleaming with rabbit joy.
Cory and Helia rush downstairs to see the guards have raised a large troop headed by an Archer making a beeline for the mansion.
Someone (who?) casts a distraction, causing the Archer to split the vast majority of his troop to investigate in that direction. The Archer and her two scouts continue heading into the mansion.
As the two scouts enter, they trigger traps the party has laid but many of the traps don’t result in much damage. The Archer realizes that shes been had and backs away to try and get the troop back.
The party pummel the scouts senseless. One of the scouts looks at Helia as he dies, and is confused why the Queen of Hearts is attacking him.
Helia casts “pass without trace” and the party rapidly makes it out of the mansion before the Archer returns with her troop.
The party makes it out of town safely and heads back to their main base of operations: the Green Hag’s ancestral home.
Louis does a bunch of arcana checks and discovers:
- The orb acts both as a reservoir and a lens for moonlight
- The moonstone earring acts only as a lens
- The dress makes creatures think the wearer is the person they love the most.
