Scene opens at a night market.
Alvin has set up a stall. To offer a totem around?
Karlech drops from the top of the building. Takes damage. Talks to Alvin.
Quesque is offering apples at 2gp. Does not explain it very well.
Disturbance at the market. A hooded figure (Psycho Killer) has captured a lady. A light is emanating from her body and being sucked into a ruby.
“Fa-fa-fa-fa”, the lady says and drops to the flor.
Chase happens. Karlech jumps through a window and out the other side of the building, surprising 2 thugs.
Hood has gone down into a basement, party chases after them.
Hood continues running, chased by ???. ??? fight the thugs.
Hood gets incinerated, leaves behind a pocket book and the ruby.
Investigating the ruby shows that it has trace mounting marks, as if it’s designed to be put onto something.
Hood was taking it in a room with 12 other gem mounts, presumably to complete some sort of ritual.
Jaskier charms one of the thugs, who reveals that they are hired help and have only seen Father Banes, the priest of the town, come into the basement besides Hood.
Buddington starts grabbing random gems from the ritual, starting an earthquake.
Jaskier goes to hide, finds a Candle of ever burning.
Police show up and arrest everybody.
