Elevator music going down is “bring Sally Up, bring Sally down”.
Viscount Bridgerton interrupts on PA to claim that the party is inside the machine, all units to battle stations.
Party prepares various spells as soon as the elevator door opens, only for nothing to be on the other side.
Elevator opens to corridor both on left and right, floorplan is a square loop.
Party heads left and finds a small nook, sees clockwerk scouts patrolling.
Clockwerk scouts head into a secure area where they are scanned.
Helia wildshapes into a spider and hitches a ride with a clockwerk scout, bypassing the scan. Secure area contains a door and ballista that appears ready to fire at anything that fails the scan.
Helia explores beyond door, a large chamber with airlocks on either side.
Helia returns, party ambushes a scout. They then use its carcass to bypass the scanner. They rush into the door before the second scout completes its loop.
The chamber has spikes at the top.
Party heads into the chamber, past the first airlock. There is a plate at the center which Cory stops to read

This triggers a trap where the floor starts rising. the viscount comes on the PA to taunt:
I’ve had it tough, now I’m the toughest around
Do you know how I feel?
I’m rolling with the punches getting to what’s real
The floor raises beyond the airlock. The party realizes that they have to simultaneously jump, which makes the floor start dropping instead of rising.
They do this enough to get to the second airlock, which they follow up some stairs to emerge into an office. The desk has some papers and a giant mech humanoid shaped hole through one of the walls.
Examining the desk finds an invitation to The Intervals:
For the first time in centuries, THE INTERVALS are being held again. The bearer of this letter is invited to enter a team of their choosing.
As always, the winner may ask a boon granted directly by the Man of Strings.
Present this letter to the nearest Dwarven mining operation.
The party heads out to find Viscount Bridgerton hovering in an armoured suit. Combat ensues, with an initial phase where the mech throws grenades out and can’t really be hurt.
Party thinks of tossing the grenades back at the mech, causing malfunctions and causing it to crash.
The mech makes mention of a deal fulfilled and initiates self destruct, killing the viscount.
