A gnome leads the party and Darrow into the courtroom.
Vadu accuses each member and Ura announces judgement:

Interrupted by The Leader and 3 minions. Leader claims something about a new world order.
Party perceives leader as someone new to their job, not entirely respected by the minions.
Leader and minion A fight the arm trying to get to the head.
Minion B frees the party.
Minion C goes upstairs to ransack the place.
Party gets freed, leader disengages.
Party heads to pick up their equipment, Leader tries to convince them to follow. They refuse (Follow The Leader)
Party goes outside, looks for Hanzo’s wagon. Finds it around the back.
Party sees a city on fire due to Material Plane Riots. The north is where most of the fires are, less to the east and west. The south is eerily quiet.
Party heads south, as they pass the last burning building they see an orphanage on fire with a bunch of children outside. They hear 2 distinct screams from children inside. Follow The Leader
Party goes in (Cory stays outside). Helia rescues orphan on the left by making a way through the fire.
Hanzo, Ev, and Harloc magic their way upstairs. They see a second child (Drummer Boy) as a vague lump with pieces on fire falling off. This turns out to be a child covered in rats that were protecting it as it walked through the fire. The child is unharmed.
Party puts the children in Hanzo’s wagon and continues moving southward.
They get to a point where all the houses appear deserted. The only light is coming from a Lord’s manor nearby, where they can see a single humanoid silhouette moving around.
Helia uses a nature check to sense that this land is particularly close to that of the Fey.
Party ignores the manor and continues southward. They come to a crossroads where they see a swarm of rats scurrying off to the left. From the right, a shape lumbers towards them.
Cory shouts “What matter of business have ye?”
Combat begins, the Meenlock frightens Cory and paralyzes Hanzo. Harloc is able to heal Hanzo to stabilize and the Meenlock is killed.
Ev harvests the meenlock and gets 2 large filets out of it. Unknown to her, she rolled a 10 on a DC 12 check to avoid the venom sac, so the meat is poisoned.
Harloc casts detect magic as a ritual:
- The rat child is not magical
- There is magic coming from the west (where the Meenlock came from)
Party takes a short rest as they continue moving southwards.
