The 36 Chambers are faction remnants of the War Against Hippity-Hops that occurred hundreds of years ago. Each chamber has towns, cities, and villages scattered across the Shadowfell, maintaining their distinct identities and territories.

Organization

Each of the 36 chambers maintains its own settlements and population throughout the Shadowfell. When significant political matters require discussion, delegates from each chamber gather (most recently at a Gothic Baroque castle built into a mountainside).

During such meetings, each chamber establishes a temporary camp in a circle around the meeting point. The 36 distinct camps display different banners representing their chambers. Notable banners observed include one with a gun-shaped emblem and another that was bloody red.

Political Landscape

The chambers are divided between two major factions:

Master Flo’s Faction:

  • Consolidated seven chambers under their leadership
  • Seeks to “rise up and restore the honor that was stolen”
  • Advocates for reviving the militant traditions of the hip-hop heritage

Opposition Faction:

  • Mixed composition: harengons, dark elves, dwarves, bone creatures, and devils
  • Led by a handsome devil as main speaker
  • Argues for living in peace rather than seeking war
  • Maintains control of the remaining chambers

The Mystery

The chambers follow an ancient hip-hop tradition called “the mystery” - a binding battle system where disputes are resolved through champion combat. When Master Flo invoked this tradition at a castle meeting, the opposition accepted and declared the challenge would be chess boxing, a format alternating between speed chess and physical combat.

This tradition serves as both a conflict resolution method and a political tool for gaining influence among the chambers.
