Story
DeWitt’s protective love for his daughter was twisted into a weapon:
- Bonnie, consumed by jealousy over Jack’s love for Rose, deceived DeWitt
- Bonnie told DeWitt that Jack was a vampire
- Believing he was protecting his daughter, DeWitt killed Jack at Wise Men Falls
- Shot Jack through the heart with a crossbow bolt
- This murder led to Rose’s death from grief
- DeWitt became an undead boneclaw, bound to Rose’s spirit
Undead Form
As a boneclaw, DeWitt served his daughter’s ghost:
- Summoned by Rose when she was distressed
- Rose would call him “that monster” in her anguish
- Accompanied by a death dog
- Fought with seamstress shears in his throat (killed by Rose when she heard what he did to Jack)
- Used two cranking crossbows in combat (the weapon type he used to kill Jack)
