Party head to the market. Encounter Quesque trying to sell them apples from the material plane. Party tries to learn more about Quesque’s planar travel only to be shut down.
A quick stop at the apothecary reveals not much of interest.
The party uses 1 of 2 remaining ruby gems to open a portal to Lyric.
Head to Tinker’s guild to find instruments left behind.
They approach the guild house via the secret well entrance. As they open a trap door, they find a large skeletal creature with a tail stuffing the instruments into a bag. There is also a smaller maw demon (all mouth!) next to them.
Combat is initiated. Alpha devil initially hands the bag to the maw demon who tries to run away with it.
Party kills maw demon. Alpha devil summons a beta devil who has a tail. Alpha demon communicates telepathically “YOU POOR FOOLS”
Party splits their focus amongst devils. Alpha devil beelines for the bag, then unfurls wings and flies out (heads to Shadowfell).
Beta devil is whittled down, who disappears as it dies.
Party decides to long rest
