Chronology
The Synth Satellite
- Deployed a Synth Satellite disguised as an unnatural golden-red moon
- The satellite raised waves of undead (Ogre Zombie, Beholder Zombie, Revenant, Wraith)
- Stodor’s family was killed in the resulting battle
- Stodor threw a boulder that cracked and destroyed the satellite
- The Synth traced the trail of stones back to Stodor
- Captured him and enslaved him to the Bally Table
Viscount Bridgerton’s Mech
- Viscount Bridgerton fought the party in a mech suit at the Bally Table
- Party damaged the mech by throwing grenades back at it
- The mech made mention of “a deal fulfilled” before self-destructing
- Killed the Viscount in the explosion
- Revealed The Synth’s involvement in funding the operation
Train Assassination Attempt
- Attempted to assassinate Augur of Melodies on train to Paradise City
- Used doppelganger (disguised as maid) and assassin (disguised as bartender)
- Knocked out guards and VIP with gas attack
- Party stopped the assassination
- As train approached bridge, a Neothelid attacked the train
- Ragnar Rok claimed credit for killing the creature
Dismissed by Piano Man
- Piano Man thanked party for saving the Augur
- Dismissed The Synth as merely an “annoyance”
- Implied they’re not a serious threat to his power
- This may be dangerous underestimation given their actual capabilities

The Fifth Prophet in the Shadowfell
- In the Shadowfell, a “handsome devil” leading the faction opposed to Master Flo revealed himself as the Fifth Prophet, leader of The Synth (see 34 - Main 30)
- Claimed he could not lie; offered to sell the party the betrayal of a “certain friend” (deduced to be Maurice) in exchange for their loyalty and a favor
- Admitted to experimenting with the instruments stolen from Lyric to “understand the truths of the universe” and “augment various parts of my army,” and to seeking “power over the musical gods”
- The devil form was a decoy: Helia’s Moonbeam reverted it to a smaller, mechanically-enhanced humanoid construct, and the true devil’s “skin” separated and fled
- The battle featured Synth war machines - a giant slow-time-casting spider construct and cannon-and-helm constructs, all rigged with self-destruct sequences
- The party recovered a set of pan pipes from inside one of the wrecked constructs
